Leaderboard

The Leaderboard can be a fun way to add some gamification to your sessions and can be particularly useful for running End of Year Revision Tournaments. To get started, follow the steps below.

Step 1: Add the Leaderboard activity

  1. Open a session and hit the "+" tab in the dark blue top header bar.
  2. From the "Create Activities" page, click the "Leaderboard" activity to add it to your session.

Step 2: Create some polls

  1. Create a Multiple Choice poll question that you'd like to using in the competition.
  2. Click the checkbox next to the correct answer to allow FLUX to tally answers.

That's it! The Leaderboard will now show a list of participants who have answered your polls ranked by the number of correct responses.

Step 3: Nicknames (optional)

For some extra liveliness, you can let participants know that they are able to set their own "nicknames" from the top right menu in FLUX. These nicknames will show up on the Leaderboard as they answer questions. To prevent abuse, you can remind participants that their real names are only a click away for instructors!
